On Wednesday the children were supposed to go and have a look at Mrs Horsley’s vintage car, however as it was soo wet the morning children were unable to go out but instead got dressed in the waterproofs and enjoyed splashing in the puddles.
Fortunately, the rain had stopped in time for the afternoon children to go and investigate Mrs Horsley’s car. They enjoyed sitting in the car and looking at the differences between the vintage car and modern cars that we see on the roads today.
The children really enjoyed throwing a party to celebrate the Queen’s birthday. We played Duck, Duck, Goose and Musical Statues- the children definitely showed off their best moves!!! The children enjoyed eating their party food and saying happy birthday to the Queen.
Our topic this half term is Road Transport, to introduce this the children have been discussing different types of transport and identifying whether the transport they have suggested would go on the road, in the sky or on water. We then enjoyed going into the car park and doing a survey of the different coloured cars we could see. The children worked in pairs to do this and were very good at staying together.
