Well I can’t believe this is the last week before the summer holidays. What a very strange time this last term has been. I miss you all and wish I was able to wish you all well in person as you take the next step in your learning journey, unfortunately that’s not to be. I know you will all do well and I look forward to hearing all about how you are all getting on.
This will be the last week of videos and activities and we are learning about beetles and other mini beasts as part of our ‘Little Creatures and Mini Beasts’ theme.
However, there are still lots of insects and mini beasts you could take a look at over the summer break too.
Other things to practise over the break, to get ready for Reception, is for your child to be able to;
► To recognise and write their name
► Use scissors to cut out shapes
► To know their colours
► To recognise numbers to 5 and count 1:1 to 10 at least.
► To recognise and name the 2D shapes a circle, square, rectangle and triangle.
► To recognise and name the 3D shapes a cube, cone and cylinder.
► To be able to get themselves undressed and dressed ready for PE.
► To put their coat on and do it up by themselves.
► To tie their own laces.
► To use a knife and fork effectively ready to eat their school lunch.
The blue activities are hyperlinked to the internet and the red activities can be found below.
I hope you enjoy them.
Take care everyone and stay safe.
Love Ms Andrews xx
